In 2017, American Legion Matawan Post 176 kicked off our Veterans Oral History Project interviews. Historian and Post Commander Matt Ward interviewed five members of the post, including former Post Commander and Matawan Town Historian, Al Savolaine. We welcome all members of Post 176, both past and present, to participate in this project. The interviews will be posted on this website, so that future generations of residents will have access these materials.
